Internship

The GIEFF is looking for motivated interns who would like to gain insight into the organisation and implementation of an international film festival.

 

 
 

 

Areas of activity include:
  • Event management and on-site festival support
  • Production and editing of information and visual materials
  • Communication via social media
  • Screening, presentation, and support of film programs
  • Assistance for visiting filmmakers
Your profile:
  • You are a student of social and cultural anthropology or a related subject.
  • You are interested in cultural management and documentary film.
  • You are interested in how people shape their lives and how this is represented in film.
What is important to us:
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Good command of English
  • Solid computer skills; experience with media and image editing is an advantage
What the internship involves:
  • Writing biographies, news items, calendar announcements and social media posts, and conducting the necessary research.
  • Working with audiovisual and promotional materials, including photo and film clip editing
  • Providing assistance with organisation and marketing activities before the festival.
  • Assisting during the festival with admission, photography, screenings and guest support.
Internship period:
  • From mid-February 2026, with an intensive phase in May during the festival.
  • Duration: approx. 120 hours, with flexible scheduling based on requirements.
