This special workshop brings together the core creative and intellectual minds behind the film “God in a Military Uniform” (2025). Hosted by Itsushi Kawase, the session features a rare joint appearance by director Kano Endo and cultural anthropologist Yohei Fujino.

Together, they will deconstruct the collaborative process of filming "Japanese gods" in Taiwan, discussing how the camera and ethnographic fieldwork work in collaboration to uncover forgotten histories and spiritual phenomena.
